I use this app (and the French equivalent) quite frequently and love them both. They offer great translations as well as audio pronunciations. I want to suggest two features that would make these apps 5-star worthy:
1- The ability to either search both sides (English to X and X to English) at the same time, or the ability to switch between the two searches without having to re-type the search query term to speed up searching as sometimes one may forget to check which dictionary is selected, and if its the wrong one, switching erases the term requiring it to be typed again to search the other dictionary
2- iPad multitasking support. The ability to simply slide-over into these apps or to have it sitting side-by-side with a document or book would be a wonderful, time-saving convenience
We travel lot and use the App A LOT while overseas. I download the dictionary for the country we are planning to visit and use it - use it - use it ....no Internet / Data Connection required...except for the pronunciation feature.
Great to research the many forms of a word when different combinations of words can change the meaning.
Its excellent.
Im using this amazingly well done app to refresh my forgotten Spanish as we tour through the country.
I think the dictionary is great but you should make the listening icon smaller
This is the third Spanish dictionary I tried and I like it best because 1. fast to switch words, 2. includes all conjugated forms of a verb, not just the infinitive. Recently used feature is also nice.
Suggestion, once the input word is uniquely matched, go to the full entry without having to select the word explicitly.
Spanish to English and English to Spanish off-line search! I love it.
Some bad moments
I used to use this app all the time. But now it bombards you with advertisements that cover the entire screen right in the middle of when you are typing so you cant help but get directed to the App Store. I get that its a free app so some advertising is ok but the designers have done way to far.
I have use this dictionary for years as my favorite, but today I am deleting it. My reason is twofold. First, the company has started having pop up ads that cover the entire page and contain hidden Xs which, if not touched with precise accuracy will send me straight to the App Store. This whole process happens frequently, interfering with my ability to effectively use this app.
My second reason is that the program has begun using so much memory it slows down my devices.
(Original review: I have several Spanish-English dictionaries that I use, but this one is the best, and always my first go to. I have rarely come across a word not included in the dictionary, and have begun to depend a lot on the phrases and idioms this dictionary also lists. It is extremely helpful, and user-friendly.)
I pay for no publicity, but I still see it... what happens? Please Give me my money back or fixe the problem
The app design needs to improve. Make the app icon look better. For the pronunciation make the icon smaller.
For your reference take a look at the app called "Turkce Kurtce". You can these features and app layout (design) to your app. You need to work on the app design and make the sound icon smaller or completely change it.
The new version has no pronounciation icon! The add shall be modified with remival of the sound icon.
Found definitions not found elsewhere ..... Very happy with it....,, will recommend it highly
